Internet Marketing Companies: The Do's & Don'ts Of Using Whatsapp

By Arthur Williams

When discussing the biggest social media platforms in the world, room in the conversation should be left for WhatsApp. Not only is this program used around the world, but it has more than 1 billion people in its user base. There's no denying the fact that WhatsApp matters, but knowing how to get the most out of it is paramount. For those that would like to learn more, the following do's & don'ts should be kept in the back of your mind.

DO take advantage of WhatsApp on the web. While you'll most likely use WhatsApp on your iPhone, Android device, or what have you, it's good to know that you're not limited to these devices. As a matter of fact, you can open the app in question on your web browser. This can be done by accessing the official WhatsApp website and accessing the app from a QR code on your phone. Such a benefit matters, but there are other things that companies such as fishbat can tell you about this program.

DON'T be shy about tagging people. When you open a group conversation in WhatsApp, you have the ability to tag people. Let's say that, for the sake of argument, that you have a message that you would like a specific person to know about. You can get their attention by tagging them, which will send them a notification letting them know about it. Tagging is a useful function on social media, so it's good to see what WhatsApp includes it as well.

DO learn about formatting on WhatsApp. This is particularly true when it comes to the text associated with your messages. Did you know that you can make your text bold by adding asterisks to both sides of it? You might also want to know that you can strikethrough your text by adding tildes, which are the squiggly horizontal lines on your keyboard. These are just a few formatting options, so take advantage of them whenever possible.

DON'T forget that you can recover old messages. Not only can you recover individual messages, but entire chatlogs that you've had with people in recent memory. WhatsApp makes this possible as long as you've previously enabled the daily backup function. What this does is save your chats in the cloud, which makes them easy to recover. For those that are active on WhatsApp, this might be the most helpful feature of all.
