Networking In Gaming &the Work Of A Social Media Marketing Coach

By Rob Sutter

I think that we've gotten to a point of technology when it seems like communication can be done on a number of machines. Video game consoles today may be synonymous with online play these days but what about the presence of networking as well? I think that posts and tweets alike will be able to show just how much we have grown from each being done on computers alone. It's the kind of progress that anyone can focus on, a social media marketing coach included.

I think that going online with your console has become something that we've taken for granted, which is unfortunate. After all, the PlayStation 3 that many gamers have made be utilized for gaming experiences but what about those sessions in which going on YouTube to watch videos in full screen sounds like a good idea? Maybe it's more attractive to go on a food website so that a food order can be put down? It's clear that most of what can be done on a computer will slowly translate into console usage.

Networking may be a strong addition to these consoles but I do not know if it will be utilized to tremendous degrees for everyone. I know that this is done typically on computers and the idea of it being done on consoles may not translate to everyone. The Internet is quicker on smaller devices, from my experience. However, I can see it becoming utilized in certain cases when gamers are too lazy to bring up their smartphones which may be resting a good distance away.

It's clear that more and more video game companies understand the importance of socialization and any social media marketing coach can tell you the same. The Xbox 360 has Skype compatibility, which is very useful for those with friends possessing the same function and it will transition into the Xbox One coming later this year. Is it possible that everyone is going to make use of such services? It's tough to say but it's clear that they have the attention of authorities like S-M-M-C.

The idea of gaming should always be rooted in the idea of playing games and any other feature taking center stage is wrong. That being said, I know that networking has grown tremendously and I understand why it's becoming more and more of a feature on consoles to come. It may not be utilized by every single person but I don't know if they should be. Perhaps they can be utilized on a serious basis or it could be a matter of simply tweeting from one game session to the next.
