Puppetry is a very interesting play and is usually done theatres and other venues suitable for live shows. These puppets are designed to be animated by humans and some are only made of socks and sewed clothing. We are so obsesses about the fact that cartoons might be real. Well, through these theatrical shows, they made our dreams come true. They do their best with the help of their production team to realize our favorite cartoon characters that we only see on televisions. That is why theatrical actors and actresses exert extra effort to internalize their assigned personality so that they could effectively project it in from of their audiences. Internalizing the personality of the cartoon is not an easy process because these people underwent years of training just to master the techniques in acting. Professional performers are mostly actors and actresses. They made their puppets according to their personality and character or anything in resemblance to an animal or human. These people are called puppeteers. Average puppeteers only use one or two puppets at a time because it takes a certain amount of skill to practice their movement and to synchronize their left and right hand.

However, some professionals use three or more puppets with the use of sticks, rods, and other controlling devices. They also include detailed movements like eye rolling, blinking, ear, and nose movements. These detailed expressions need professional and lengthy theatrical experience. Mastering the flow of the play is not easy.

It is not easy to memorize the entire script, matching the movement of your hands with the tone of your voice most especially when it already involves eye blinking, ear movements, and eye rolling. You must be an expert of multi tasking before you present yourself in front of the pool of people. You should also be confident enough in order to project the character of your assigned puppet.

Singing, acting and proper delivery of speech must be practiced so that during the show, they will be able to project the character of their puppet. They must synchronize their dialogue with the movements of their hands and make sure that the audiences understand the storyline. This began during the ancient times when people need something for their personal entertainment. They often pay actors and writers to write a story and do something to realize it.

This began in Greece when they still utilize socks as their characters. Some reports have shown that this actually originated three thousand years BC wherein they use them as a material for rituals, religious objects, religious performances and symbolical representations. They also use it during celebrations wherein they represent a person and this created a psychological impact to the earliest societies.

This profession would definitely influence your entire being. That is why when we were young we are well entertained by these actors. Meaning to say, the way they perform is effective for us. If you aspire to become a puppeteer someday, then practice as early as now.
