Life rafts can help the survivors get to dry land. When the helicopter cannot land, the rafts can be dropped to the victim. They are equipped with all the equipment they might need to navigate to hard ground. The inflation happens in a matter of seconds before the raft hits the water.

Medical equipment is also needed in this process. Remember that all victims who have been injured ought to be stabilized before they are moved. Therefore, medical collars are essential. Also, stretchers are needed to ensure the movement of the causalities is done effectively and efficiently. They should have an intravenous pump, cardiac monitor, and a ventilator. First-aid has to be provided as soon as possible to sustain life.
