If the existing owners haven't made a major remodelling of the house, the price offered by the owner shall be close to the market value only.

Also choosing the FSBO option also enables the buyer to get a fair price of the house. Buyers often look to compare the owner price with the market value and also along with the prices of other properties available in the area.

If you come across similar properties then make sure you consider the condition of the house and then the price. There are home owners that fix increased cost mentioning the price of marketing, advertisement and promotions and other handling expenses.

Lastly inspection becomes the most important part of buying or selling a house. It becomes very essential to get a house inspected by a professional before making a deal. And the problems that several buyers have to face with the inspection, is what has urged the potential buyers to look for properties that fall under the 'for sale by owner' listings.

If you do not get the opportunity of proper inspection, you should straight away reject the property.
