7 Best Books To Read When You Need Morale Boost

By Catherine Brooks

Motivation is not for the lowest beings in the society. If fact, the most successful persons require the inspiration to keep going. As they say, getting to the top is easy, the task is maintaining your position. Reading has been listed as one of the most effective ways of staying at the top of your game. Here are the best books to read when you feel out of wind in whichever aspect of your life.

The Seven Habits Of Highly Effective People has been termed as a motivation masterpiece. It is written by Stephen Covey and provides a road map to life. Though it sometimes comes as too preachy, it has a lesson with every flip you make. While many successful people have read this title, it appears to have a new insight no matter the number of times you read.

How to Win Friends and Influence People is the work of Dale Carnegie. It is a classic title on how relationships will determine your happiness or sadness. Though it takes its lessons from business, the author suggests that people are the best fuel to success. After all, every action will affect or be influenced by a person. By improving your relationships with other people, you have a better chance of succeeding.

Millionaires appear like mysterious people when their stories are told. However, Napoleon Hill has debunked this myth through the book Think and Grow Rich. His target was to identify common thoughts, behaviors and best practices that resulted in wealth. The author also wants to dispel the notion that wealth results from luck and greed.

Antony Robins thinks that there is a giant inside every person and that it should be awakened. This is the motivation behind his title, Awaken the Giant Within. The writer is very blunt in his approach to motivation. His focus is on training the body and the mind to achieve big things. He challenges everyone to take full control of his financial, emotional, physical and mental destiny.

There is a lot of focus on immediate action and results by present day motivational writers. Interesting enough, 1902 saw the release of a title that remains relevant to-date. James Allen gave the world a thoughtful title As a Man Thinketh. This classic privileges the mind as the driver that determines the actions a person takes. It is these actions that determine your ultimate destiny. Your success or failure will depend on your personality.

Every day, you are involved in selling your personality as a spouse, leader, employee, business person, etc. This reason drove OG Mandino into writing The Greatest Salesman on Earth. The message contained in the book is that every encounter is about selling your point of view. Your happiness will depend on how well you judge your target buyer and how favorable the deal will be to you.

The Power of Positive Thinking is the work of an excellent writer called Normal Vincent. It has been referred as heretic because it takes away the shine from a god centric world. However, for Norman and other sociologists, psychologists and scientists, a healthy and happy person is one who engages positive thoughts.
