Vancouver VoIP Providers Promise Their Clients Huge Savings

By Sharon Perry

It needs more than guts and determination to compete in the modern global business arena. It requires the ability to remain innovative and to respond to consumer needs and demands immediately. This can only be done with highly superior communications systems. Modern consumers have more options than ever before and they easily go elsewhere if their needs are not met straight away. Vancouver VoIP providers are sure that their clients are properly equipped to instantly react to consumer demands and to thus gain an edge over their competitors.

Although internet based communication has been available for a number of years, companies were slow to warm to the idea. The main reason for this slow takeoff was the fact that these systems require a reliable internet connection. Internet access was not always available everywhere and it was often slow. This has all changed, of course. Today one can access the internet from even remote corners of the world.

The initial motivation of potential new users of internet based communication is often cost savings. They do save money indeed. Most users report savings of more than fifty per cent of their phone bills and these savings can most certainly become very significant over time. But new users quickly find out that the savings on their monthly phone bills are only the beginning.

It is not just on their phone bills that internet system clients save. Older systems required the installation of costly hardware such as switchboard systems at every branch. Each of these installations had to be manned by an operator. Maintenance was ongoing and expensive. With internet systems there is only one installation. The service provider hosts the system and upgrades it on a regular basis. Maintenance on these systems is insignificant.

Perhaps the biggest disadvantage of older systems is the fact that users can only use the phone when they are present at their work stations. If they left their desks to attend a meeting, to see a client or to solve a problem on site, they missed calls. Every missed call may constitute a missed order. Internet systems do not have this problem. Users can communicate wherever they are.

Internet systems do not require users to make use of specific handsets. Any device that can access the internet can be used. This gives users a high degree of freedom to use the device best suited for the circumstances. All user records are cloud based and instantly accessible when a user logs in. This means that users are always able to access vital information that can have a huge impact upon their productivity.

Features such as call holding, forwarding and voice mail have been around for a long time. These features are still available to users of internet systems but they also have access to many other features that can make their lives easier and increase their productivity. They have voice to email and fax facilities, video conferencing and the ability to transfer files, graphics and photographs. This allows for much more efficient communication.

There can be no doubt that there have been amazing advances in the field of communication. Using the internet as a communications platform simply makes sense since it is used daily for so many other purposes. One wonders what the next step in the evolution of this technology will be.
