By Dennis Fox

Access to music was very hard to accomplish back in the days, and before smartphones came into production, transistor radios were prominent during the year of 1954. It was made possible by the discovery of transistor in 1947 becoming the first device to be portable. The instrument produced billions and became popular across the globe, but, eventually, it got replaced by affordable AM devices that give better audio quality like portable CD players, audio gadgets, boom boxes, and modern phones.

Almost being knocked off the market, somehow it is still used by other individuals that prefer its simple functionality instead of the modern devices a medium of communication. Places have its own issues regarding signal strengths specifically those that are located far from metropolitan. Latest radio transistors like the evx s24 version is a more developed gadget with better audio quality and portable size.

The instrument was initially developed in pocket size, way back then it was considered as a novelty item. Its main purpose was to deliver messages to the armies during the war at the time, and as the war ended some of these instruments were preserved and gathered by collectors. Companies then realized that the invention of the transistor can revolutionize the industry and started making their own radios.

Getting radio transistor have is pros and cons that might be inefficient for someone that is used with the modern device today. People back in the days were just desperate in listening to music and the radio gave the ability of finally listening to songs. During that time, people were limited resources and some functions that we find today on devices were not found in it.

Society can still utilize this gadget today especially for those who do not mind listening to random music when cycling, jogging and the like. From time to time it might present some great songs you do not know existed. Classical songs or songs from underrated bands might appear and spark an interest to someone as there are no ways of skipping the songs.

But, these attributes are way far obsolete compared to the new smartphones today, as it remains to develop every year. Smartphones have more compact and thinner sizes than the average produced radio model. In regards to audio and music features, phones win by a large margin due to the massive popularity streaming services today.

Health exercises are also more functional with additional features winning over the compared instrument. The flexibility and doing multiple tasks is so practical and useful that people who are about to buy radio might think twice. Even though it is cheap, it may be worth buying a little expensive when it has more functionality.

Choice still depends on the preference of the customer that best suits its lifestyle. There are people that live a simple life that they neglect using modern gadgets and resort into using this kind of gadgets. Their way of life is to be contented with what they have, and the use this as their way of communicating with other people.

It may be obsolete to others, but this tool is still produced not for competing but for its utilization. More likely when this item is submersible underwater, a feature that most smartphones cannot achieve effectively. Whichever community prefers, the radio transistor will not be gone anytime soon.
